Why 91% of Women Struggle To Make An Impact

"It is better to be quiet and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it."

Hey Verbalizer,

So the other day I was walking to catch my train feeling in a bit of a funk.

I hadn’t had the best morning and I was carrying that energy into the rest of my day.

Head down.

Shoulders slumped.

Energy low.

I noticed that even my walk reflected the state I was in.

And it was only making me feel worse.

So I made a conscious and intentional decision...

To lift up my head.

To chin up.

To chest out.

To walk with purpose.

And I kid you not…

It made such a tangible and visceral difference. 💪🏽

I suddenly felt energised and rejuvenated.

But the core message of this email isn’t just about posture (although that’s important)...

It’s about something MUCH deeper that this exact moment got me thinking about…

The fact we - as professional women - often do the exact same thing with our voices.

We shrink them.

We muffle them.

We silence them.

All because of that voice in our head saying:

"It is better to be quiet and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it."

But here's the truth:

Nobody is thinking about YOU as much as you think they are.

They're more likely thinking about themselves.

So all that self-censoring you keep embracing?

It's really not worth it.

Just like I had to consciously and intentionally lift my head that day...

You need to consciously and intentionally lift your voice.

Your thoughts, ideas and questions MUST make that journey from your brain to your mouth. 🧠➡️👄

They MUST take up vocal space. 🗣️

They MUST shift you from being a brilliant spectator to a brilliant contributor. 💫

The invitation to take up vocal space awaits you.

Today.

Tomorrow.

And the day after.

Just like changing your posture can change your state…

Changing your silence can change your impact.

The choice is yours.

That one is up to YOU. ✨

Love, Laughter & Light,

'Ronke
