Be liked or be heard, that is the question

Hey Verbalizer,

Let me start by asking you a question…

What do you value more:

Being liked or being heard?

Ouch! A painful question that I’m sure you would rather ignore, I know.

Trust me when I say that I get it and I am still on that journey myself.

If you could take a peek into my journal, you would be amazed (and perhaps slightly horrified or amused 😅) by the number of times that likeability was more important to me than the courage to speak up and be heard.

That time in a leader's meeting.
That time with someone in my team.
That time at church even!

Yes, there are many times.

BUT there has been incredible growth!

I know that when I can answer that question truthfully and be at peace, then I am winning!

So let me ask you again…

What do you value more:
