3 Exercises That Will Help You Become More Articulate
Try these TODAY đ€©
Hey Verbalizer,
Picture this...
You're in another meeting and you have this INCREDIBLE idea! đ
In your head, it's crystal clear.
But the moment you open your mouth to share it...
Everything gets jumbled, your clear thoughts become tangled, and suddenly your heart beats just that bit faster as you gradually move into panic mode đ
My goodness, I totally appreciate what that can feel likeâŠ
And after coaching dozens of women, I've discovered something fascinating:
The real reason you struggle to articulate your thoughts? It's probably not what you think.
It's not about your intelligence (you're brilliant!)âŠ
Or your expertise (you know your stuff!)âŠ
It's mainly to do with your preparation.
Think about it like cooking your favorite meal...
You wouldn't just throw ingredients together and hope for the best, right?
You need a recipe. A method. A proven way to make it work.
That's exactly what I want to share with you today.
Three simple but POWERFUL habits that will help you speak more clearly and confidently.
Starting with number 1âŠ
1. The Morning Mind Workout
When you wake up, spend just 10 minutes reading something good.
It could be a few pages of a book, a short article, or even an inspiring story.
(And no, scrolling through Instagram doesnât count! đ )
Then try this - read it out loud.
Why?
Because when you read out loud, your brain and your mouth work together.
Youâre training your tongue to move clearly, your brain to think faster, and your memory to remember words better.
This helps because your brain learns better when it hears and speaks the words, not just when it sees them.
After you finish, say in your own words what you just read.
Itâs like a mini workout - not for your body, but for your mind and voice.
2. The Thought Download
Before an important talk, meeting, or even a hard conversation, try this:
Take a blank piece of paper.
Write down what you want to say.
Donât worry about spelling or grammar⊠just let your thoughts come out.
This helps your brain stop spinning in circles.
When your ideas are on paper, your mind feels calm and clear.
Writing like this helps because it moves ideas from your busy mind into the real world, and that gives your brain more space to think clearly.
Then, read what you wrote out loud.
Does it sound natural? Does it feel like you?
This is how you practice saying your thoughts before it really matters.
Itâs like trying on your words before you wear them in public.
3. The Power Pause Technique
Right before you speak, take a moment for yourself.
Close your eyes and take three deep breaths.
Feel your shoulders drop.
Think about the main thing you want to say.
Then quietly say your first line out loud to yourself.
This helps your brain and body feel ready.
Science shows that breathing like this turns off the âfight or flightâ button in your body - the one that makes your heart race or your voice shake.
It helps you feel calm, focused, and steady.
And when you start calm, your words come out smoother, clearer, and stronger.
So start today.
Even just one of these can make a big difference.
Because speaking clearly isnât about being perfect - itâs about being present.
Your ideas matter.
Your voice matters.
And the world needs to hear what only you can say.
Love, Laughter & Light,
'Ronke
